Korean Music Wave in Malaysia

We got into the stadium about 30 minutes before the show started, therefore it wasn’t a very long and tiring wait, but the weather yesterday was really humid so I got really sweaty and gross before the show even started lol. My seat was pretty decent btw hehe thank you Bao! I guess the only downside with a venue like Stadium Merdeka is that we’re mostly seated on a flat ground? The only tiered area was for free seating so ;__; it’s sorta sad for a shortie like me. Anyway, the show was MC-ed by our local DJ Jeff Chin, Arirang Radio’s DJ Young and special guest MCs Kevin and Dongho from U-Kiss!!! I must say that Kevin/Dongho did really well as MCs. It’s cool because they’re also the translators? Dongho spoke nearly perfect Mandarin and I was just ugh screams he’s so adorable. Unfortunately they stopped MC-ing after their performances because they had to rush for a flight back to Korea :(

Anyway, the line-up in order was FT Island, Teen Top, 4 Minute, U-Kiss, Park Jungmin, Seungri & GD/TOP. CRIES IDK WHERE TO START BUT HERE’S MY FAN ACC OF EACH OF THEM ANYWAY.

FT Island - I was literally blown away by Hongki’s vocals. Effortless. So full with emotions. IDK HE’S JUST AMAZING IN GENERAL FULLSTOP. They opened with Hello Hello, followed with 사랑 사랑 사랑, 나쁜 여자야, Bing Bing Bing and 바래. Bing Bing Bing was really fun to watch because Hongki was silly dancing on his own all the way at the front. Then the others except for Minhwan took turns to come to the front as well. SCREAMS they’re all flawless tbh. I kept focusing on Hongki’s singing that by the time Seunghyun or Jonghun came forward, I just OH MY GOD WHAT IS THIS PERFECTION. Like Jonghun doesn’t have a flaw on his face? Dayum boy. It was sort of cute at one part too, when they started teasing each other and laughing keke. But Jaejin, ah Jaejin, I was so awestruck tbh. He’s so cool *__* Maybe I’m very bassist biased?! I wished he or Seunghyun said something in English because I thought it’d be really cute, idk, HAHA I WAS EXPECTING SOMETHING LIKE “GOOD MORNING, BOB!” OK. 

Teen Top - THESE BABIES. LOL sorry I just couldn’t help calling them that because it’s true they’re the youngest of the bunch and also the most adorable :) It’s really nice to watch them perform because they’re VERY good dancers. So energetic and in-sync *___* They seemed very awkward and shy during the chatting session though keke. But I kinda enjoyed listening to L.Joe speak random English because his accent is actually quite decent? They performed 향수 뿌리지마, 손등이 스친다, Clap, Angel and ended with Supa Luv (Remix version). Speaking of L.Joe, CRIES THIS BOY HAS SO MUCH SWAG IN SUCH A TINY BODY. For a member who doesn’t have many lines, he sure shone like the brightest star omg. And his sequined tie/scarf thing wasn’t helping too ok!!! But seriously though, Chunji has a perfect face. LIKE WHAT DOES HE FEED ON TO BE SO PERFECT? I thought he sang very well too. In fact, he’s probably better live than Niel. Or maybe I just prefer the tone of his voice. Changjo and Ricky were really cute, CAP was REALLY handsome *__* and Niel was just, alien-like lol and he’s so tall omg.


4Minute - I gotta admit that I’m not a big 4Minute fan from the start, but I genuinely thought that the girls performed so spectacularly. Hyuna wore a very striking silver sequined dress and she was so sexy! Jiyoon was very pretty herself and she’s such a confident girl when they tried saying a few sentences in English. They performed Mirror Mirror, Heart 2 Heart, I My Me Mine, Muzik and Hot Issue. I enjoyed their performances because they seemed like really nice girls. AND THEY HAVE REALLY NICE LEGS, I’M JEALOUS FOREVER. They didn’t say much during the short talk, it’s mostly about them being here for the 2nd time and that they’re happy to see their fans etc. Typical stuff really.


U-Kiss - I still enjoy watching them so much even though it’s been too many times lol ;__; I guess the interesting thing about U-Kiss is that, they just get better and better each time I see them. They opened with Neverland, 빙글빙글, Everyday, 만만하니 and closed with 0330. It’s my first time watching them perform Everyday and omg it’s so goooood hmm. I’m a 100% sure they lipsynced to Neverland though? I don’t know why, but it’s probably because they’re really tired seeing as they have a craycray schedule. They left immediately after their performance so…. hm yeah :( They seemed the most comfortable on stage when talking, but AJ really made me lol during the introduction. He almost introduced himself as U-Kiss HAHAHA. He started off all cool “WASSUP EVERYONE!!!! I’m U-Ki….. uh, AJ from U-Kiss!!” lol o gawd his face. Also can I also say that ELI GETS HOTTER EVERY TIME I SEE HIM? Just, oh my god ok. Kiseop too!!! Ugh he’s such a qt who couldn’t stop smiling when Soohyun was talking. I have so much respect for these boys because they’re really good performers. 


Park Jungmin - SCREAMING I LOVE HIM SO MUCH YOU GUYS. I’m such a proud SS501 stan that whenever I see any of them performing on stage I just want to weep ;__; I saw Jungmin once during a fansign in 2009, but this was definitely my first time watching him standing on stage as a solo artiste. He’s always been so friendly and down-to-earth. He made me giggle so much too omg, because he couldn’t stop giggling himself T___T It’s all kinds of adorable when he didn’t know what to say after performing Not Alone. He just stood there all ^_____^ his smile brighter than sunshine. What’s even cuter is that he couldn’t speak English so he resorted to speaking Mandarin. He was gonna take a paper out from his pocket, but it was the wrong one so he said “為什麼? 是錯的?” which means “Why is it? The wrong one?” and made an adorkable face. And when he finally found it, he’s like “찾았어!! (I’ve found it!!)” omg lol. I wondered what’s really in that paper, but it turned out to be a short message written in Malay and he read it quite perfectly! AND HE DID HIS STUPID BUTTDANCE TOO. I totally need to find a fancam of that, damnit. Anyway he performed songs from his album: Not Alone, 넌 알고 있니, 내 하루는 매일매일 크리스마스, Go Go (IT’S SO SEXY I CRY) and Missing You from The Princess’ Man OST. It was his first performance of that song too, and I WAS SO BLOWN AWAY BY HIS VOICE.


Seungri - To be honest, I’m not a very big Seungri fan but I love his voice alot in Big Bang. I was definitely very eager to see him perform solo but as soon as he stepped out, my mood went downhill completely. It’s not Ri’s fault ok, it’s the crowd’s. I know 50% of the crowd were there for Big Bang, but do you have to stand ON YOUR CHAIRS and start jumping? They were holding placards, lightsticks and other stuff too. I just felt so unfair for the people sitting at the lower tier behind us, because I’m sure they could see nothing? I was getting my bitchmode on for abit, since I’m short and couldn’t see anything too ugh. But I didn’t want to miss my chance to see Seungri, so to hell with it, I’LL STAND ON MY CHAIR TOO. He performed VVIP, 어쩌라고 and Strong Baby (I think? IDEK) but he’s such a cool guy on stage really. There was so much hype going on, I just couldn’t focus HAHAHA. But seriously though, Seungri you’re such a derp irl. When asked if he’d like to come back for a concert, he said he’d like to live here instead lmfao r u srs. And he also used the Malay word “BAGUS” which means great, when asked to describe the Malaysian fans keke.

GD/TOP -  These two appeared as soon as Seungri ran in and MY GODDD EVERYONE WAS SO HIGH LOL. I swear my eardrums could’ve died if I hadn’t shut my ears. What can I say really *____* They were so good sigh. G-Dragon’s stage presence was A+ but I could hardly see him because he’s so tiny and he kept jumping around the stage like a drunkard lol. His English was alright but he mostly just said R U READYYY!!! R U GUISE HAVING FUUU-AN!?! YEAH AMAZING YEAH WASSUP MALAYSIAAAA~ lol. TOP. OH MY GOD TOP. He’s an embodiment of a perfect man tbh. His hair was so nicely styled, it’s like the most delish icing on a cupcake ugh. Love his face, his hair, his voice, everything. I could honestly go on forever about how gorgeous and flawless he was in real life, but I’m sure you get the idea. :3 They only performed THREE songs (I’ll talk about my disappointment later on) which were 뻑이가요, Oh Yeah and High High.


There wasn’t any saying that High High would be the last song so when they left the stage, everyone thought they were coming out again. The MCs then took the stage and left us a goodbye and thank you message and then it’s all over. People started to chant for an encore so I was like THIS CAN’T BE! THREE SONGS. WHERE IS MY BABY GOODNIGHT!?!? T___T But then the commercials started to roll out on the screens again and I saw videographers packing up their equipment so I’m like ;__; ok bye. But it was a very good concert, overall.  

We weren’t actually allowed any cameras, but even though I managed to bring mine in, I didn’t bother taking alot of photos because 1. the stage was the size of my palm from where I sat and 2. SECURITY GUARDS WERE EVERYWHERE~ OK THANKS FOR READING BYE.
